On sunday we were at the Plaça Sant Jaume in Barcelona where the Castellers traditionally build human towers to celebrate the catalonian culture.
I’ve not seen many things which were as impressive as these human towers – the participants (from age 4 to 90!) are really passionate about their work and after a human tower is successfully built, they celebrate relieved. It was also nice that every viewer was invited to help to stabilize the pinya (the base of the towers), so everyone could be part of the festival.
Unfortunately the photos are not my best but this posting is more like a documentary and I recommend everyone to experience this at the next La Mercè in Barcelona!
